Haldimand Tract land claim myth should provide sober second thought re aboriginal sovereignty negotiations with anarchist proxies

Sam Gualtieri after Sept 13/07 attack by native protestersSince sending my notes about last Sunday’s Truth & Reconciliation Rally (Feb 27/11) to Natasha at MooseandSquirrel.ca who did an outstanding job in getting them up when I was so pressed for time, a great thing happened after she posted Sunday’s notes under the title, ‘Caledonia: The front line struggle against the anti-capitalist, anarchist, Marxist agenda‘ (link below).

The post has since attracted quite a discussion, including some submissions from THE Dan Kellar who led the goon squad that shut down Christie Blatchford’s first presentation at the University of Waterloo.

Dan Kellar comments on the Truth & Reconciliation Rally

When you read Kellar’s submissions and his counter-responses to my citing of clear, indisputable truths about Caledonia, you will truly understand why Caledonia truly IS the front line in the fight to preserve democratic values against the anti-capitalist agenda which includes using native people as pawns to destroy Canadian democracy via any means necessary.

Moreover, Keller reveals the utterly vacuous nature of the key foundation for the radicals’ ‘justification’ for supporting the violence and intimidation there – the so-called ‘land claim’:

MARK VANDERMAAS COMMENT (March 01/11, 2:15 am):

Haldimand tract mapI spent an hour with one of the leading experts in aboriginal rights recently, and he confirmed that Six Nations has no treaties with Canada. Furthermore the so called land claim is utter nonsense. Please see the legal cases from the Brantford, Cayuga and Hagersville injunctions, and the Holmes report prepared for the court for the Branford case in section K2 [Property Rights & Vexatious Land Claims] on this page:

It’s all there folks, for all to see; what the politicians and the white settler academic anarchists don’t want you to know.

DAN DELLAR COMMENT (March 01/11, 8:01 pm):

[…] if you want your proof of Six Nations entitlement to all of the haldimand tract you can speak to Ruby Montour or Frank Montour as they have shown me their expert knowledge. […]

Haldimand Tract ‘land claim’: there is NO evidence and they know it

The University of Waterloo and Christie Blatchford  were intimidated by a guy claiming to be a “published researcher and PhD student” (Kellar comment, March 01/11, 7:37 pm) who justifies Caledonia’s misery — in the face of all evidence to the contrary — on a non-existent land claim because Ruby and ‘Frank’ Montour say so.  In fact, if you check the references available to Kellar on the page I provided, you will see that the recognized representatives of Six Nations has made NO claim for possession or return of the Haldimand Tract and, according to the court, even if it did it would not succeed.  The only claim Six Nations may have, according to the court, is one for monetary damages.

Ruby & Floyd Montour – named defendants in two of three legal actions which resulted in injunctions vs. illegal occupations

Not only does Keller base his support for the occupation and its attendant lawlessness on unsupported assertions by ‘Ruby and Frank Montour’  (Ruby’s husband’s name is ‘Floyd’ not Frank, so it appears he doesn’t know the name of his experts), but if he had bothered to check the court documents I recommended, he would have discovered that both Ruby and Floyd Montour are named in two of them as defendants — so the courts who exhaustively examined all the evidence, right in the open where everyone could see it, concluded that Kellar’s ‘experts’ were wrong.

Ruby & Floyd Montour – faced 9 criminal charges for Extortion, Intimidation and Mischief

Furthermore, Ruby and Floyd Montour faced a total of nine criminal charges for Extortion, Intimidation and Mischief after Gary McHale presented enough evidence to convince a judge to issue process for the charges. The Crown Attorney intervened to drop the charges, and replaced them with 1 count of Mischief:

The evidence…

No aboriginal sovereignty negotiations with anarchist proxies

070120 DCE occupiers give finger to non-nativesEven if the Haldimand Tract claim did have merit, this would not ‘justify’ what happened in Haldimand County. Committing terrible crimes against innocents is bad enough, but to do it under cover of a false land claim is despicable. It is, arguably, criminal that the OPP and McGuinty government allowed this land claim deception to go on so long, all the while painting non-native activists as the villains in Caledonia.  They knew and we knew all along that this so-called land claim was ficticious, yet they continued to allow the public to believe it was genuine, and treated the perpetrators of the fraud and violence as though it was real.

Caledonia has suffered because of a monstrous lie about a land claim fabricated by a small group of greedy natives looking to make money who were in turn supported by anarchist/anti-capitalist/anti-Israel radicals who exploited native people to further their own anti-capitalist agenda. In the process, this unholy combination set back the cause of responsible ‘Aboriginal Sovereignty’ for years because the phrase will be forever linked to the ugliness of Caledonia. If responsible aboriginal sovereignty is to be part of our future, Canadians can NEVER allow the process to begin until the lessons of Caledonia are learned, and learned well, and we are assured that responsible people are sitting at the table, not the anarchists via their proxies.
